In the Classroom

Students in the Classroom

In our classrooms, every student is supported, challenged, and encouraged to thrive. As a Victorian public primary school, we follow the Victorian Curriculum, delivering a rich and balanced learning program across all key areas including English, Mathematics, Science, the Arts, Humanities, Health and Physical Education, Technologies, and Languages.

Our classrooms are inclusive, engaging spaces where:

  • Learning is student-centred – teachers tailor lessons to suit individual learning styles, interests, and abilities.

  • Wellbeing is a priority – we foster a safe, respectful environment where students feel valued and confident to take risks in their learning.

  • Education Support (ES) staff work alongside teachers – providing additional support to ensure all students are engaged, included, and achieving their potential.

  • Collaboration and curiosity are encouraged – students work together, ask questions, and explore ideas through hands-on, meaningful activities.

  • Literacy and numeracy are core foundations – taught explicitly and integrated across subjects to build strong, lifelong skills.

Our dedicated teaching and support staff use evidence-based practices and ongoing assessment to monitor progress and adapt instruction, making sure every child receives the guidance they need.

We believe in nurturing a lifelong love of learning, and our classrooms are the heart of that journey.
